LCHS is a small, community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered charity serving Laurens County, South Carolina. Our mission is to give animals in need a safe place to live while waiting for a loving home and to reduce pet over-population by helping local residents spay and neuter their pets.

We are the only facility in Laurens County that accepts cats and kittens, and we are proud to be a no-kill organization. We give every animal in our care the time, medical attention, and compassion they need to find a loving forever home.

We solely rely on private donations and grants for funding. We have several fundraisers a year and apply for grants as they are available. We do not receive any local government funding, nor do we receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States. Your gift directly helps us keep our doors open and our services available to the families and animals of Laurens County and beyond.
